Near and Dear

So I was going to talk about Valentines Day in this post but come on none of you care about that, so I'll just leave you with a couple pictures of my flowers :)

So I want to talk about something that means alot to me. In December I started working for a Oncology/Hematology group. If you don't know they are cancer specialists but also deal with blood disorders as well. Previous to this I worked in the Emergency Room at a local hospital and although I loved it at the beginning it got old after the first couple years. All the drug seekers and so forth. It weighs on you and makes you not enjoy your job. Don't get me wrong I learned alot from the ER but it was time for something new. I was becoming jaded and a not so happy individual. I've always considered myself a people person but the ER ruined me and made me hate people.
     So I got this job with the cancer specialists and loved it from the beginning. My patients are amazing (except there are always going to be those certain one I could live without) I love to talk to my patients and get to know them and I have forged relationships with many of them already. I also love to sit and listen to them talk to each other while they are receiving Chemotherapy. I feel like they help each other while they share their experiences and what things have helped them through this time. It also breaks my heart to see them when they get upset because I honestly have no idea what they are going through, and for some of these people it is def. not their first time.
      I have 1 specific patient who breaks my heart everyday, she is a young girl who is pregnant. She has a daughter and is pregnant with another. She is having to take chemo because they couldn't hold off or else she would have died shortly after the diagnosis. It breaks her doctors heart everyday to have to give chemo to her. She is the sweetest girl and very appreciative for everything. We had her a baby shower the other and it was great. I honestly wanted to break down and cry. She got so many great things that she needed. She was so excited. It makes me feel great to know that I work with such amazing people that can pull this off and do this for this woman.
       Needless to say I'm glad I'm finally doing something that makes me feel good and I finally feel like I'm making a difference in peoples lives, its the greatest feeling in the world.

Weekend Rundown

     So Friday I had a 31 party. I have never carried 31 products before, but im in loveeee!!!!!! I recieved a thermal lunch tote just for having the party. I decided to hold my order over until Wednesday because some more people said they wanted to order, and the more orders I get the more FREE stuff I get so Holler!!!!!
      The rest of the weekend was spent with the boyfriend per the usual. It was a great time as always. Other than the battery we had to change Saturday before we went out. We had a little Chinese food and then had planned on seeing the Vow, but we missed the showings and I was very upset. So we went and met up with a couple of his friends and went to the bar, which was quite interesting. We had 1 drink and went home. But before we went to the bar I couldnt wait any longer and gave Aaron his Valentines gift because I was wayyyy too excited. He loves this certain brand on cigars called Acid Cigars. They have fruit oils in them and blah blah blah (I may tune him out when he talks about them). He was extremely excited and told me that it was top 5 gifts hes every recieved.
       Sunday was spent being lazy until we went grocery shopping. I did continuinly get beat up by his son on sunday morning. Go figure lol.
        I just got done prepping his dinner for Valentines Day. Ill let you know how that goes later. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!!

Love is in the air

So life is pretty great these days. I have an amazing job in which I love and I feel like im making a difference for once. I have a great boyfriend whose incredibly sweet and actually wants to spend time with me. We have a great time together and he also has a 2 yr old son whom I'm in love with. This all leads up to the fact that I've been sick all weekend and basically feel like death, but I got to thinking Im not going to dwell and im not going to whine because life is so great and im extremely greatful.

 Now onto bigger things I want to cook him another dinner this week so I want some suggestions ppl. I do plan on making him atleast a salad with HOMEMADE blue cheese dressing which is his favorite. But I need a main course. He loves food so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And another question for blogger land. I want to design a cool Blog like all of you have and I dont know how to do it. So suggestions for that would also be greatly appreciated.

Tattoo Lovin'

First and foremost....I LOVE TATTOOS. I love seeing other peoples and hearing the stories behind them. Everyone has a story. Yes they hurt I don't know why people ask but its a good pain. I have 3 tattoos at the present time. Technically 4 but I had 1 covered up. The first one I got is the one that was covered up me and a friend of mine decided to go get this tiny butterfly on our shoulders just to see how bad the tattoos actually hurt. I freaked out when filling out my paperwork and my friend filled it out for me cuz I was so hung up on it being permanent. In the end I got it  and it faded out like 3 months after I got it.... Shitty work if you ask me. I do not have a picture of this tattoo

My second tattoo was this intricate heart on the inside of my right ankle. I hid my first tattoo from my dad for over a year and when I finally showed him he was a smidge mad but he ended up telling me he would buy my next tattoo for my birthday present. My last name is Hart and what girl doesn't love hearts so hence my 2nd tattoo....

My 3rd tattoo is a cross on my foot, that I got done on a whim but I had been wanting this tattoo for awhile but it wasnt a planned tattoo visit. I plan on elaborating on this tattoo soon as I want to add some rosary beads to it.

My 4th tattoo is covering up my 1st tattoo on the back of my right shoulder blade. It is a memoriam tattoo for my cousin who was killed in a bad accident. She loved butterflies and they were on her casket at the funeral, she also sang hence another part of the tattoo and the quote that is with it is partly for her and partly for me. It is my favorite tattoo of all of them. I picked out the parts of the tattoo and the girl who did it put it together. She did an amazing job. The quote stands for "She flies on her own wings" in Latin!!!!

I plan on getting more tattoos I wasn't a quote on my ribcage. I would really love to have Love with the infinity symbol on my wrist but I work in the medical field and its looked down upon. Hopefully one day... I cant wait to see everyone Else's tattoos in this link up

Loving life!!!!

 So I want to be a really good blogger and do it as often as possible. So I want to spruce up my blog some. If anyone can tell me how to change my design to something cool I would greatly appreciate it.

     In other news, I have gone out on a few more dates with Aaron. I must say I'm very happy. We get along great and hes very sweet. The other day we may have even had our first kiss, but I wont talk about that cuz I don't kiss and Tell!!!! ;)  Last night we stayed in and I cooked Fajitas and we watched movies. It was great and I'm very excited to see where this is going to go. And on another note I am 25 years old and  have never had a date for Valentines Day so I'm very excited for that as well. So if someone could inform Aaron he needs to make it a good one I would greatly appreciate it. HAHA.

New Year...New Start

So what is the best way to start a new year...a date of course. That's exactly what I did last night. MY friend Heather called me 2 nights ago and told me she had someone she wanted me to go out with that had liked me for a long time but never had the nerve to ask me out. We all used to work together at a restaurant like over 4 years ago. He was a giant goofball back then and to be completely honest if he had asked me out back then I probably wouldn't have gone out with him. Anyways she begged me to keep and open mind. So I told her I would go out with him. Hell its a date no big deal. So he took me out to dinner last night. He wouldn't tell me where we were going ahead of time but told me he wanted to take me somewhere nice. So when he picked me up I asked where we were going and he asked if I had ever been to BullFish which I have. So we drove to Pigeon Forge. BullFish was crazy busy so we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse because our friend Heather was working. We had a really great dinner and I had alot of fun. From there we went to Gatlinburg and went to this place called Dude's Daquiris' which is part of Mellow Mushroom, but its like a bunch of slushy machines, but with alcohol. They are AMAZING!!!!!!! We then walked around Gatlinburg and of course I had on awful walking shoes. Super cute but now I have blisters on the TOP of my feet. We took the long way home and had a really great night. So needless to say we will be going out again this weekend and you never know who may surprise you.

So I've not been great at keeping up with this blogging thing. I love reading everyones blogs and do it everyday religously. I just cant seem to do my own, I dont feel like my life is that interesting and I dont know that people even want to read what I have to say, nor am I a good writer.
 

I did start a new job, which I LOVE!!!!! I have never before in my life said that I love a job. I am working for cancer specialist and its amazing. I love my patients I just love everything about it. Im running the shot clinic/phleb. Which means Im giving the patients the shots they need plus drawing there blood. Everything about the job so far is wonderful. Im making more money, its better hours monday-friday no weekends no holidays. I have never in my life had a normal job like that EVER!!!! Its closer to home and the people are wonderful. I am genuinly happy right now.

Everyone is doing theses resolutions and we all know that we dont keep them, but its fun anyways I presume. I like everyone else want to be healthier, mind body and soul. I want to eat healthier and work out and lose some weight. Plus I have some minor health problems that I need to get under control before they escalate into larger ones. I have decided that 2012 is going to be amazing year!!!!!
