Hard Week!!!

So I work in a local Emergency room and we work very closely with local EMS, Dispatch, Police and occasionally the fire dept. One of the local paramedics ended up in the hospital on Friday on life support, well he had little to no brain activity so the family decided to take him off of life support so on Saturday at 10:41 in the morning Jake who was only 44 passed away. This was extremely hard for the whole county.
Yesterday was the funeral service and let me just tell you it was nothing like i had ever experienced before. If you have never been to a police, ems, or military funeral then let me just tell you it is an experience that is very moving. ambulance and dispatch services from other counties some in to cover calls so that everyone is able to go to the services, other counties also send ambulances to be in the processional. The funeral itself was extremely moving and I was in tears the whole time. Three different preachers spoke. One of them is a paramedic in the county and grew up with Jake so his was especially heart wrenching.
After the service come the processional which is something amazing in itself. There were at least 20 ambulances and police vehicles in the processional with lights going and then all the cars of the guests. The funeral was in the next town over so there local police stopped traffic for us and almost every officer whom we passed was either saluting or had his hand on his heart, truly amazing. We arrived at the cemetery and they had bagpipes, at the end of the service they did last call across the radio, if anyone doesn't know what that is its where they say the persons number over the radio 3 times with no answer and then they retire the number and drop all the tones. This is the most heart wrenching thing ever. There was not a dry eye in the place. Then lifestar flew overhead which is the local air ambulance service.
I want to just say how amazing everyone in my county is, and how much i greatly appreciate everyone in the emergency field of service. Also REST IN PEACE JAKE PURKEY~ GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!!!

Old Lady!!!

So I have decided that due to the events of last night, I have turned into an old lady. It was supposed to be a family day where my father, stepmother, baby brother and I visit some family that live about and hour away. Due to some unforeseen circumstances that did not happen. So they took off doing some things and I stayed at home. I decided I would clean which lasted all of about an hour when I got bored. So I went to the grocery store to by some ingredients because I have been craving some pasta salad. Well I passed the beer isle and started to peruse. I decided I wanted some Boones Farm, strawberry daquiri to be exact. So in my cart it went.

I came home and made my pasta salad and started to ponder on what I would do that evening and then it came to me. I WILL CRAFT!!!! Lately I have been in this super crafty mood, I blame most of it on pinterest as it is ruling my life a little. I have alot of friends who are pregnant or just had babies. Almost all of them are having little boys. So I have been doing my own onsies, including some brostache onsies which are amazing and make me laugh everytime.

These are my suspender onsies which are too cute.

Needless to sat I am 25 years old and have turned into an old lady crafting and drinking a bottle of Boones Farm on my own on a saturday night!!!!!

Me and My Boones Best date in the world!!!!! And yes I do have clothes on LoL
