Weekend Rundown

Well my beautiful ladies I am feeling more and more myself as the days go on Hallelujah!!!!!!!
Friday I went to a high school football game which was extremely fun but then we all started talking and made ourselves depressed because we are 10 years older than most of those kids. Seriously when in the hell did I get old??????? We then went bowling and may I ask when the hell did bowling alleys get bars. I mean come on this is AMAZING!!!! Have I been under a rock or what? My phone was dead so I didnt do any picture taking. Very sad I know but one of the girls def. busted her ass on the lane because she didnt know they were slippery once you cross that dreaded line. HAHA we almost had to make an ER trip since her hand was swollen and blue before we even got home.

Saturday was my lazy day. I seriously didn't do much of anything. Laid around being lazy lol
Sunday as in today I went to my friends house out on the lake and swam. Gotta make the best of the rest of summer. We live in Tennessee so that could be 2 more months but who knows. It's beginning to feel alot more like fall everyday. Ill leave you with what few pictures from the weekend I have.

I confess

  I Confess: I have really neglected this blog over the summer. I have had way too many things going
                    on in my life and I'm not completely comfortable discussing these things yet but with
                    time.

I Confess: I am finally starting to feel like my old chipper self again and it is..AMAZING!!!!!!!!

I Confess: I turn 26 next month and although its a pretty lame birthday I wanna have a big party.

So its been a hot minute since I blogged and I figured my first post back should be a link up with the amazing Bargain Blonde so here goes

How I make that money honey

So lets just start off I work for cancer specialists. We have multiple offices but I work at an outer clinic and I absolutely love it. I run what we call the shot clinic. Let me start off by saying our doctors are not only oncologists (cancer docs) but also hematologists (blood docs). So we deal with not only cancer but anemia and other blood related disorders. I draw all the blood for my patients as well as give them whatever shots they needs for examply procrit, aranesp and neulasta. IF anyone knows what those are for ill give you a giant hug.

I also have to deal with insurance which makes me want to pull my hair out. I have to get what we call PA (prior authorizations) from insurance to make sure they will pay for there medications. I also have to call in prescriptions and basically anything else that is needed of me in the clinic.

My job is extremely rewarding but hard at times. I sit and talk to these patients almost on a daily basis while they are recieving chemo and I become very close with them. Some pass away and its very hard, but we trudge on so we are able to help so many others.

I also work in Emergency Room for about the past 4 years. That is another story but lets just say I love my full time job best. Any questions please feel free to ask as I am an open book. You Know!!!!

So again hectic crazy week. Last weekend we got pictures taken. We had them done at UT Gardens which is gorgeous and as soon as I get them back please prepare for a photo dump. Haha This friday is the boyfriends birthday and next friday is his son's 3rd birthday so lets just say I'm in birthday mode. I love birthdays especially everyone elses. I have a tendancy to go all out and surprise them with decorations.

I just want to state that I love this blogging community sooo much. I admire these beautiful ladies going on all these blates and blacations. I hope that 1 day I will be as close with these ladies as they are with each other. Maybe I should work on my blogging skills. HAHA. That Time my family came to visit

So my mom, grandmother and cousin came to visit this past week. They are from Pennsylvania and are straight up hilarious. We gave my grandmother hell all week. She always repeats things 2 minutes after you said it like you never said anything and of course she knows everything. But shes hilarious.
     This was the first time that Aaron had met any of my family and it went fabulously. He loved them and they liked him as well. We went to dinner at Smokey Mt. Brewery which was amazing. They make this beer cheese and it is to DIE for. Anyways I look over and the boyfriend and my grandmother are sitting across the table from each and both twitching there hands in the exact same way. We tease my grandmother about this so for them both to do it at the same time was absolutely ridiculous.
     After my cousin and the bf and me went to the wax museum that just opened. It was alot of fun and we took alot of ridiculous pictures.

 We did alot of shopping while they were in town and I got some kickass PURPLE shoes and some blue ones too. LoL

My mother is amazing and shes very good to me. I couldn't ask for anyone better. I took them around town they have been here many times before but we have never really done any nature type things so we went to cades cove and also Tuskaleechee caverns and toured them. Cades cove is a giant 11 mile loop of nature and your guaranteed to see animals. We saw 5 bears, 8 deer and multiple turkeys not to mention some gorgeous nature

This is my backyard so to speak and its amazing.

My family is going back tomorrow and it makes me sad, but I can't wait to take Aaron and the babes up next spring and show them around Pennsylvania. I missed my lovies and I'm catching up on your blogs are we speak or type shall I say.

Family Time!!!

So I'm so very excited because my mom, grandmother and possibly my cousin are making an improptu vacation to visit me. They all live in Pennsylvania which is 10 count it 10 hours away. They will arrive on friday and leave next thursday. I'm sooo excited I haven't seen any of them in a little over a year. Plus they will get to meet the BF so that will be amazing I'm sure.
    On a lighter note the bf let me get a kitty cat. I've never really been a cat person but he has cats and told me I could not have a dog. One of my patients told me about a customer of hers trying to get rid of a himalayan cat. Now I had a himalayan in high school and those are basically my favorite kitties. I called the lady and picked up my baby on Friday. She is 6 years old and her name is "cookie." Right now she is scared to death which I dont like but she will get used to everyone and everything. We thought she might be deaf at first because she wouldnt respond to anything. But after the bf's mom took a look at her we just came to the realization she is just ignoring us. The kind previous owner even gave me a ton of supplies for her. So basically we are set. Now just to get her more comfortable. That's all lovelies I probably won't be blogging until next week due to the family being in town. Don't miss me too much. I love all you gorgeous ladies!!!!

Dear Boyfriend: I love you and love that you understand how excited I get about giving people presents and that I couldnt help to give you 1 of your birthday gifts a month early because it came in the mail. It def. does me better buy things last minute.

Dear Mom: I'm so excited you decided to come visit me since me and the bf had to push our trip back. Trying to find you a hotel room while we are on the phone together me being in Tennessee and you in Pennsylvania and you getting frustrated cuz your not very technological was quite funny. But tell me how you were finding better deals than me at the exact same time and hotel? WTF

Dear Job: Please let me have a day or 2 off while my mom is in town, so I can visit my mom and grandmother since I haven't seen them in a year. PWEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE

Dear Kitty: I have never been a cat person but the boyfriend loves cats and I asked him if I could have you and he actually told me yes. Please be sweet and loving and fit in well with his cats. I will be picking you up after work and I am very excited. Who ever thought I would be excited about a cat.

Weekend Rundown!!!!

So my weekends are spent at my boyfriends house which are great. We had planned a great date day for saturday since we rarely get a night to ourselves. He has a son thats almost 3 and while I love that child dearly I do like to have a night to ourselves once in awhile. Well he then was told friday he would have to work saturday. Strike number 1. So we ended up not leaving until about 6. But we didnt have to be home at any certain time. Well we went to Gatlinburg and forgot that it was rod runs weekend. If you have never heard of rod runs let me enlighten you. A weekend full of cars and traffic as far as the eye can see. Plus a big drunken redneck mess. Not the good drunken redneck time either.

May I take a minute to reitterate that traffic is HORENDOUS!!!!!! We sat in standstill traffic for over 2 hours just to go like 4 miles. All I wanted to do was play some putt putt and eat dinner. Spend time with my amazing boyfriend. Damn rednecks!!!! We finally got to dinner at like 10:15. We had the worst service ever at Texas Roadhouse but great food. Putt putt was closed so we ended up at dudes daquiri's which is great its a wall full of alcoholic slushies.

So I suck at blogging lately but I swear I will get back at it. Work had been busy and tiring and then the stud, Gotta love him. I will not have internet action this weekend so I will def. Blog on monday I SWEAR!!!!! Have an amazing weekend loverbees

Weekend recap

So this is a day late, but better late than never. Friday was somewhat rocky with me getting annoyed with the boyfriend. I misunderstood something and we quickly worked it out. Anyways I spend weekends at the boyfriends house which is lovely. So Saturday I woke up feeling like crap. The bf had to go get new tires for the motorcycle. I had asked if he cared if I stayed home while he got them but then I felt bad and got ready to go. Actually moving around helped. But this mono is seriously kicking my ass.
     After we got tires on the motorcycle we headed to johnsoncity for some shopping and a day date together with no little munchkin ( dont get me wrong I love his son like he was my own, but its nice to have a day to our selves once in awhile). Aaron wanted to go to this bike shop and price some new motorcycle jackets. We did that and then shopped for some other stuff. I got some super cute new casual shoes.

We then did Bonefish for dinner. Boyfriend had never eaten there and kept talking about these bang bang shrimp 1 bite and he was hooked and thats all he talked about the rest of the weekend. I have no found a recipe online and will be trying to recreate them.

Sunday morning I made mancakes I got this amazing recipe from this lady right here  Shades of Gray
Go visit her blog shes got some great recipes . I used a honey brown beer tho. And boyfriend could not quite talking about how good they were. I forgot to take pictures tho. Boo on me. Basically the rest of Sunday was spent with me falling asleep on the couch and boyfriend teasing me for snoring, while bf played some video games. Not very eventful but fun for me.

Fridays Letters

Dear Body: This mono thing is kicking my butt this week. I hadnt really had any symptoms of it other than the exhaustion and the swollen lymph nodes up until this week. Now I have this  sore throat and congestion.  I would greatly appreciate it if you would vacate my body immedietly.


Dear Boyfriend: I love you tremendously and your great. I'm am thoroughly excited to be able to have a day together saturday. And prepare yourself for mancakes this weekend. I promise they will be yummy.


Dear Job: I love you and you are very fullfilling but this week has been very stressful, and next week is looking 10 times worse. Please be gentle.


Dear Samantha:You are one of my best friends and Im so glad we are working together again. The dream team. Also thank you for always listening to me vent. Please kiss that beautiful baby for me since this mono thing will be keeping me from him

Kissing Disease and other happenings

So I've been stressing for the past week because I had lymph nodes swell on my neck. This doesnt sound very stressful but I had 4 pop up and 1 of them is the size of a golf ball. I also have been extremely exhausted but other than that have had no symptoms. My friend who is also my family doctor called me in antibiotics but they did nothing for the swelling so I started to freak out. I work for cancer specialists so this does not help my worried as I was convinced that I had Lymphoma. I was not the only one to start coming to this conclusion either. Anyways I already had an appointment yesterday so we did a whole array of bloodwork and started talking about biopsies of my neck and about doing body scans to check for tumors. We all went to lunch and came back and to our surprise the bloodwork showed I had a positive monospot test, plus elevated liver enzymes (which is normal with mono because it messes with your spleen). Now most people would not be excited about this but me and Ginger literally did a dance and screamed in the middle of the hallway of the office. I'm sure people thought we were crazy. I have never been so excited in my life. But then I think how in the hell at 25 yo do I have mono ...The kissing disease...HELLO THATS FOR TEENAGERS!!! Oh well I get the weirdest things. 2years ago I got pertusis which is the whooping cough. Maybe the medical field isnt for me since I get all these off the wall things. So anyways I'm off work the rest of the week to rest and I dont even feel bad.

Dear Body:Thanks for that little scare for a week, where me and my family and friends thought I had cancer only to end up being Mono- the kissing disease. Starting now we are going to get this body in to amazing working order. Dear Ginger:Thanks for being an amazing doctor and for screaming and jumping in the hallway of your clinic after we found out it was mono. Since we had just been talking about sticking needles in my neck for a biopsy. Your amazing. Dear Boyfriend: I'm very excited that you actually have 1 day off and I will lay in bed with you and rest and be very excited. Although Im more excited that you have 2 days off next week.  I Love You!!! Dear Blog: Thank you for letting me write about myself even if no one reads you.

  Dear Boyfriend, this whole working 7 days a week thing really sucks. I'm worried about your health cuz im almost certain this is going to kill you. Its not just 7 days a week its the fact that they are making you working more hours then scheduled as well. We will get through this tho. Dear body, Your doing crazy things lately and you make me worry, I should not be this tired all the time. For the lords sake im only 25 years old. Dear Ginger, Thank you for being my very close friend and soon enough to be my doctor as well. Please do not put me on a million medication so that I have to get a granny pill box, but please fix me. Last but not least Dear Work, This week you have sucked royally. Can we please make nice next week Please and Thank you!!!!!

Near and Dear

So I was going to talk about Valentines Day in this post but come on none of you care about that, so I'll just leave you with a couple pictures of my flowers :)

So I want to talk about something that means alot to me. In December I started working for a Oncology/Hematology group. If you don't know they are cancer specialists but also deal with blood disorders as well. Previous to this I worked in the Emergency Room at a local hospital and although I loved it at the beginning it got old after the first couple years. All the drug seekers and so forth. It weighs on you and makes you not enjoy your job. Don't get me wrong I learned alot from the ER but it was time for something new. I was becoming jaded and a not so happy individual. I've always considered myself a people person but the ER ruined me and made me hate people.
     So I got this job with the cancer specialists and loved it from the beginning. My patients are amazing (except there are always going to be those certain one I could live without) I love to talk to my patients and get to know them and I have forged relationships with many of them already. I also love to sit and listen to them talk to each other while they are receiving Chemotherapy. I feel like they help each other while they share their experiences and what things have helped them through this time. It also breaks my heart to see them when they get upset because I honestly have no idea what they are going through, and for some of these people it is def. not their first time.
      I have 1 specific patient who breaks my heart everyday, she is a young girl who is pregnant. She has a daughter and is pregnant with another. She is having to take chemo because they couldn't hold off or else she would have died shortly after the diagnosis. It breaks her doctors heart everyday to have to give chemo to her. She is the sweetest girl and very appreciative for everything. We had her a baby shower the other and it was great. I honestly wanted to break down and cry. She got so many great things that she needed. She was so excited. It makes me feel great to know that I work with such amazing people that can pull this off and do this for this woman.
       Needless to say I'm glad I'm finally doing something that makes me feel good and I finally feel like I'm making a difference in peoples lives, its the greatest feeling in the world.

Weekend Rundown

     So Friday I had a 31 party. I have never carried 31 products before, but im in loveeee!!!!!! I recieved a thermal lunch tote just for having the party. I decided to hold my order over until Wednesday because some more people said they wanted to order, and the more orders I get the more FREE stuff I get so Holler!!!!!
      The rest of the weekend was spent with the boyfriend per the usual. It was a great time as always. Other than the battery we had to change Saturday before we went out. We had a little Chinese food and then had planned on seeing the Vow, but we missed the showings and I was very upset. So we went and met up with a couple of his friends and went to the bar, which was quite interesting. We had 1 drink and went home. But before we went to the bar I couldnt wait any longer and gave Aaron his Valentines gift because I was wayyyy too excited. He loves this certain brand on cigars called Acid Cigars. They have fruit oils in them and blah blah blah (I may tune him out when he talks about them). He was extremely excited and told me that it was top 5 gifts hes every recieved.
       Sunday was spent being lazy until we went grocery shopping. I did continuinly get beat up by his son on sunday morning. Go figure lol.
        I just got done prepping his dinner for Valentines Day. Ill let you know how that goes later. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!!

Love is in the air

So life is pretty great these days. I have an amazing job in which I love and I feel like im making a difference for once. I have a great boyfriend whose incredibly sweet and actually wants to spend time with me. We have a great time together and he also has a 2 yr old son whom I'm in love with. This all leads up to the fact that I've been sick all weekend and basically feel like death, but I got to thinking Im not going to dwell and im not going to whine because life is so great and im extremely greatful.

 Now onto bigger things I want to cook him another dinner this week so I want some suggestions ppl. I do plan on making him atleast a salad with HOMEMADE blue cheese dressing which is his favorite. But I need a main course. He loves food so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And another question for blogger land. I want to design a cool Blog like all of you have and I dont know how to do it. So suggestions for that would also be greatly appreciated.

Tattoo Lovin'

First and foremost....I LOVE TATTOOS. I love seeing other peoples and hearing the stories behind them. Everyone has a story. Yes they hurt I don't know why people ask but its a good pain. I have 3 tattoos at the present time. Technically 4 but I had 1 covered up. The first one I got is the one that was covered up me and a friend of mine decided to go get this tiny butterfly on our shoulders just to see how bad the tattoos actually hurt. I freaked out when filling out my paperwork and my friend filled it out for me cuz I was so hung up on it being permanent. In the end I got it  and it faded out like 3 months after I got it.... Shitty work if you ask me. I do not have a picture of this tattoo

My second tattoo was this intricate heart on the inside of my right ankle. I hid my first tattoo from my dad for over a year and when I finally showed him he was a smidge mad but he ended up telling me he would buy my next tattoo for my birthday present. My last name is Hart and what girl doesn't love hearts so hence my 2nd tattoo....

My 3rd tattoo is a cross on my foot, that I got done on a whim but I had been wanting this tattoo for awhile but it wasnt a planned tattoo visit. I plan on elaborating on this tattoo soon as I want to add some rosary beads to it.

My 4th tattoo is covering up my 1st tattoo on the back of my right shoulder blade. It is a memoriam tattoo for my cousin who was killed in a bad accident. She loved butterflies and they were on her casket at the funeral, she also sang hence another part of the tattoo and the quote that is with it is partly for her and partly for me. It is my favorite tattoo of all of them. I picked out the parts of the tattoo and the girl who did it put it together. She did an amazing job. The quote stands for "She flies on her own wings" in Latin!!!!

I plan on getting more tattoos I wasn't a quote on my ribcage. I would really love to have Love with the infinity symbol on my wrist but I work in the medical field and its looked down upon. Hopefully one day... I cant wait to see everyone Else's tattoos in this link up
